Ibm Standard Agreements
(International) Enterprise Software & Service Option (ESSO/iESSO) | Custom agreement. (i) ESSO contracts are contractual forms that do not contain rights of use, but only maintenance and options. Exception: If the ESSO (i) agreement is negotiated following a compliance audit, a billing plan may be accompanied by billing, maintenance and re-regulation licenses. The settlement plan is then signed with the iESSO contract. (i) ESSO agreements offer advantages to IBM customers, but also disadvantages, in particular those related to mandatory maintenance. We recommend a thorough analysis to determine whether or not a particular customer should enter into an (i) ESSO agreement. (IBM) Tivoli Asset Discovery for Distributed (TAD4D) | TAD4D and ILMT use the same agent on the devices they manage. The difference between the two is that ILMT only recognizes IBM software, while TAD4D recognizes all vendors (limited to SKBT software products – Software Knowledge Base Toolkit, the standard IBM software catalog, supplemented by custom signatures). The implementation of TAD4D or ILMT is the main obstacle for customers who want to implement sub-capacity. | Basic license agreements A standard agreement that IBM customers accept when they download, install, or purchase an IBM product. The basic agreements are most often the International Program License Agreement (IPLA), which applies to guaranteed IBM programs, and rarely the International License Agreement for Non-Warranted Programs (ILAN), the International License Agreement for Evaluation of Programs (ILAE) or the International License Agreement for Early Release of Programs (ILAR).
The relevant basic agreements, LIs and PLET, as well as the current price list at the time of purchase, constitute the complete license image of a specific product/edition/version. The basic agreements contain significant licensing restrictions applicable to all products. Commercial data| All acquired authorizations (licenses, maintenance, trade-ups, etc.) and customer agreements. Permissions give customers the right to use software of an edition, version, quantity and either for an indefinite period or for a limited time, with certain restrictions. Customer agreements may grant rights or impose restrictions, but generally do not include usage rights (exceptions apply to customer agreements that are signed after an audit and contain an exposure containing billing licenses). EXIT| Presentation of the auditor to the IBM compliance team on the customer`s compliance position in the presence of the customer. . .
